I took a drive with Mitch this Saturday to Clinton, NJ to visit Amy Leigh. The day wasn’t intended for photography, so I only took about 20-30 shots. We had a ton of fun doing everything from Frisbee, the mall, shopping for mothers day presents, and then off to finish the night off with bowling. We had a great time. I also got a chance to see 28 weeks later this week, the follow up to one of my favorite movies of all time 28 days later. It was amazing! Juan Carlos Fresnadillo really stepped it up and made a great film. This one is defiantly a must see. If you want an easy review I was quoted as saying “its like Children of Men, but with zombies!”
The first picture here is of Amy’s church. It is a Methodist church located close to the center of downtown Clinton. I took 5 different exposures, and combined them via tone mapping to produce this HDR/Tonemapped image.
These pictures are of a museum in downtown Clinton. The city of Clinton is really nice, sort of a much smaller, and cleaner West Chester. They also have a great ice cream store.
In this picture I used the HDR technique again but only slightly on the sky to make it more pronounced.
The last picture of the day is from the other side of the river near the museum. The cherry trees were in full bloom and the petals really helped saturate this image with color. Those are all the pictures for today! Clinton is a cool place — I’m about 10 miles south of it in Flemington. I’ve been there a couple of times for dinner and such, and it’s very scenic and cozy. Another one of my favorites is Frenchtown, which is about 10 miles west of Flemington and on the Delaware.
Have you seen my shot of the mill?
